The Socialist Party of Ukraine is not considering any unification with the Socialist-Democratic Party of Ukraine (United).

According to an UNIAN correspondent, SPU leader Oleksander Moroz claimed this to a press conference.

“Never, in no form, have we considered the issue of uniting SDPU(U) and SPU”, the party leader stressed.

At the same time, he added that the Socialist Party may coordinate its activities with any parties, not only of left-center, but also of right wing, willing to “oppose to the struggle of the Ukrainian President against the Constitution”.

O.Moroz disclosed that, according to his information, SDPU(U) leader Victor Medvedchuk was as if invited to work in the Russian Presidential Administration, “so it would be strange if he controlled any political forces in Ukraine from there”.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in March of the current year, Kommersant newspaper wrote that SPU and SDPU(U) were going to unite into a single political party called “Socialist Choice”.
