The party voting was secret. Two candidacies were proposed for the voting – V.Semeniuk-Samsonenko, who was supported by 128 delegates of the session, and Stanislav Mykolayenko [ex-Minister for Education and Science of Ukraine] received 117 votes.

According to V.Semeniuk-Samsonenko, a special headquarters will be formed, and she will pay visits to regions during all the year. She stressed that now “Yulia Tymoshenko will not only recall my surname, but will remember it for a long time”.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on April 11, the Prime Minister, delivering a speech in parliament, called V.Semeniuk-Samsonenko “socialist Symonenko”, and when lawmakers began to laugh in the chamber, she asked her faction to specify the surname.
