Party of Regions faction blocks parliamentary rostrum
An interval was announced in parliament after that
A 30 minutes interval was announced in the Verkhovna Rada after the faction of the Party of Regions blocked the parliamentary rostrum.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, the Verkhovna Rada was deciding whether to put on agenda the draft decree on appointing early election of Kharkiv Mayor and Kharkiv City Council.
The parliament was also due to consider putting on agenda the draft law on introducing amendments into the Law of Ukraine “On State Privatization Program” (concerning suspension of privatization of some state-owned enterprises), and the draft law on status of national deputies, concerning the restriction of their privileges.
The Party of Regions, together with the Communist Party faction, pressed to announce an interval in the parliament for 30 minutes. Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk refused to do that, arguing that the consideration of the issues already started, and the interval may be announced only after it is finished. After that, Party of Regions lawmakers blocked the rostrum, and the 30 minutes interval was announced in parliament.
