Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko held the Thursday session of government without six Ministers. Journalist noticed that before the beginning of the government’s session, several Ministers came to the Prime Minister, talked with her, and left the session hall.
Ukrayinska Pravdamanaged to get documents, which clarify the reason of absence of the Ministers.
It appeared that government members asked Yulia Tymoshenko to let them go a theater on invitation of President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha.
On the eve of the government’s session, he sent Yulia Tymoshenko a letter, asking to let go 12 members of the session, including 10 Ministers. They were waited in the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theater named after A.Solovyanenko, where President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko was due to held an all-Ukrainian conference “With Love and Care to Children”.
According to Ukrayinska Pravda, the invitation was rather ordinary. However, it is unclear, why Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko or the head of the National Agency for Euro-2012, had to present at the President’s conference on children issues.
Besides, the invitation was sent not in four or three days in advance, but in a day, and, in fact, it pushed the government to cancel its session.
At least 6 Ministers made choice in favor of the President and his conference in theater.
Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Vassyunyk, Housing and Communal Economy Minister Oleksiy Kucherenko, Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko, Regional Development and Building Minister Vassyl Kuybida, Justice Minister Mykola Onyshchuk, and Health Minister Vassyl Knyazevych, were absent at the government’s session on Thursday.
