The Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko claims that the President of Ukraine disrupts the constitutional process. The Bloc pledges to initiate setting up an ad hoc commission of the Verkhovna Rada to introduce amendments into the Constitution.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, BYuT faction member Andriy Portnov claimed this to journalists today.

He assessed as disrespect the fact that the National Constitutional Council of Ukraine session was cancelled today due to absence of Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk.

A.Portnov stressed that A.Yatseniuk was just one out of those invited to attend the session of the constitutional council.

He is convinced that the session was postponed due to an “artificial reason”.

According to A.Portnov, nobody will come any more to Constitutional Council’s sessions.

“I believe that all who respect themselves – leading scientists, lawmakers, state leadership, today they again understood that there is no National Constitutional Council, that he did not put forward any initiative, and nobody will come there any more”, A.Portnov stressed.

He emphasized that BYuT does not refuse its idea to create an ad hoc commission in parliament to work out amendments to the Constitution. He pledged that BYuT will initiate the creation of this commission.

A.Portnov expressed a belief that this will not dissolve the coalition, despite statements of Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense.
