Police block the Uzhhorod City Council in the western Ukraine.
According to Uzhhorod City Council spokesman Oleh Podebriy, this morning the police blocked the first floor of the council’s building.
“More than 20 policemen blocked the second floor, where cabinets of the communal property fund are situated”, he specified.
According to him, policemen and prosecutor’s office employees are withdrawing the official documentation of the fund.
O.Podebriy also disclosed that on Wednesday evening, law-enforcement agencies detained Uzhhorod Mayor Serhiy Ratushnyak and conveyed him to an interrogation to the city prosecutor’s office.
Recently Uzhhorod prosecutor Oleksander Stratyuk brought a criminal case against illegal activities of local authorities in the sphere of land privatization.
