President to veto two-rounds Kyiv mayor elections

To a question of journalists about possibility of adoption of law introducing two rounds to election of Kyiv mayor President Victor Yushchenko replied that he would veto such a law.
According to the President`s press-office, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko said this at his quarterly press conference on Thursday.
“It is all about how to push through certain political interests, rather than about improving election system… I will not support it [the law] and veto it regardless of who will be behind it, because it is against democracy”, - he said.
President also called dangerous the procedure when Verkhovna Rada schedules early elections of Kyiv mayor without evident grounds provided by legislation.
