Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko calls on political partners to stop confrontation with the government.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, she claimed this at a press conference in the Cabinet of Ministers today.

“The government does not plan to wage any war, we are not at war with anybody, and, on the whole, I believe, it is necessary to stop the political confrontation in the political circles”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.

The Prime Minister believes that, for the government to work normally, it is necessary to “free it from the pressure, and from all illegal decisions”.

Yulia Tymoshenko expressed a belief that the government copes with its tasks, including that concerning the budget revenues, struggle against corruption, and corrupted privatization.

The Prime Minister also informed that she did not watch the televised quarterly press conference of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, which was broadcast on Thursday, April 24.

“But I read information that the President showed a yellow card to the government, despite that the World Bank assessed the work of the government very highly, and concluded that the government activities are highly professional and absolutely reforming. It seems to me, the President should do his best for the nation not to show him a red card”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.

In her opinion, the main reason of the political instability in Ukraine is the unbalanced Constitution, which was hastily adopted on 2004, as well as the struggle between political partners.
