Deputy head of the BYuT parliamentary faction Mykola Tomenko considers incorrect the situation when employees of the Presidential Secretariat “instruct the Ukrainian nation and the government what to do”.

He claimed this to a press conference in UNIAN, commenting on the yesterday’s statement of President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha concerning the implementation of the agreement on creating the democratic forces coalition in the Verkhovna Rada.

M.Tomenko expressed a surprise at the statement of the Chief of Staff.

“It seemed that after Victor Yushchenko described his Secretariat as “plumbing specialists of his office”, we will not hear statements on behalf of the Secretariat any more”, M.Tomenko said.

“When a plumbing specialist of the Ukrainian President’s office instructs the Ukrainian nation and the government what they should do, it is incorrect”, M.Tomenko noted.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 6, President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha called on the parliamentary majority and the government to return to fulfilling provisions of the coalition agreement. According to him, “as of today, this document has not become a basis for the activities of the parliamentary majority and the Cabinet of Ministers”. In the opinion of V.Baloha, the deviation from the agreement’s provisions has become constant and evident, and its effectiveness is almost at a zero level.
