President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko believes that the current political discrepancies in Ukraine are of not personal but institutional character.

According to the President`s press-office, Victor Yushchenko said this in an interview with the Ukrainian BBC office.

Speaking about the internal political situation in the country, Victor Yushchenko stressed: “I regret that the parliament becomes a victim of certain political intrigues, which even do not belong to the opposition, but to political forces of the majority, the incumbent authorities”. He called this policy unworthily.

The interview conducted by Ukrainian BBC office editor Rostyslav Khotin will be published by the company in three languages (Ukrainian, Russian and English) at their website and broadcast by Ukrainian and Russian offices as well as some parts of it used in “Newshour” program.

Besides, on Wednesday President Victor Yushchenko gave an interview to British TV channel Sky News.

Main subjects covered by the interview were European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, Ukrainian-Russian relations, internal economic situation in Ukraine, etc.
