As it is known, this draft law was one of the three anti-inflation draft laws, proposed by the Block of Yulia Tymoshenko faction for voting. This week the BYuT faction blocked the work of parliament insisting on the adoption of the three laws.

The draft law provided import of 250 thousand tons of meat in Ukraine at a zero customs duty rate in 2008.

After the voting, VR Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk noted that the draft law stipulated that it would have an effect "until Ukraine becomes a WTO member". As it is known, Ukraine became a WTO member on May 16. "Thus, I do not understand what we were voting for", A.Yatseniuk said.
