As of November 1, 2015, gas meters have not been installed in 280,000 households using gas for heating water.

Ukraine’s largest state energy holding Naftogaz of Ukraine warned of possible termination from January 1, 2016, of gas supplies to 280,000 households across the country which had not been equipped with gas meters.

"According to the requirements of Ukrainian legislation, gas supplies for households using gas for heating water should only be carried out starting January 1, 2016, given the meter is installed", - stated in the NAC.

According to the company, as of November 1, only 75% of households of this category have registered gas meters.

"280,000 households that use gas for heating water still do not have meters," Naftogaz said.
