Poroshenko: Next four years should be dedicated to reforms to meet EU criteria
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko claims that Ukraine should dedicate the next four years to reforms that will let the country meet criteria for accession to the European Union and defense alliances, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"The elections are over now. We've got four years ahead without any elections, and these four years should be spent on all the reform that will let Ukraine meet the criteria, including those for joining the European Union and other defense alliances," Poroshenko said at a joint press conference with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden in Kyiv on Monday.
"We've got reforms ahead, and they need our joint efforts," he said.
"Ukrainian citizens are waiting for this. Our international political partners are waiting for this. I am sure that we will meet their expectations," he added.
