“Student Brotherhood” activists went on hunger strike

Activists of all-Ukrainian youth NGO “Students Brotherhood” went on a hunger strike, pressing to dissolve the Verkhovna Rada.

      NGO chief Oleh Yatsenko disclosed to an UNIAN correspondent that the activists began the hunger0strike this morning in the tent city in front of the main entrance to the parliament building.

      According to him, around 10 students from different regions of Ukraine, who have been living in four tents, are taking part in the action.

      “We saw that, as of today, there appeared a threat that a political force, which does not respect the Ukrainian state system, the Constitution, and the state language, may come to power. This induced us to take more decisive actions”, he said.
