As UNIAN reported earlier, on November 5, 2015, the SBU Security Service of Ukraine reported on the detention of Lukash, who was on the wanted list.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO), Lukash had "returned to Ukraine" and was detained in Kyiv. July 28, 2015, was stated as the date of the suspect's disappearance.

Lukash in turn said she had been staying in Ukraine all that time and did not hide from investigators.

The PGO reported that Lukash had been detained under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (large-scale embezzlement) and Part 2 of Article 366 (fraud by an official).

Kyiv's Perchersky district court on November 6, 2015, ruled to detain Lukash, set her bail at UAH 5.1 million, which was paid by Member of Parliament, former Russian citizen and Ukrainian tycoon, founder of the Smart Holding financial and industrial group Vadym Novinsky on the same day.

On November 11, Lukash's lawyers appealed against the measures.

UNIAN memo. On May 28, 2014, the Kyiv Prosecutors' Office announced that it had registered criminal proceedings on the fact of committing crimes by former Justice Minister Lukash.

The prosecutors reported that information about the following crimes committed by Lukash had been added to the state register of pre-trial investigations: offences under Part 1 of Article 367 (neglect of duty), Part 2 of Article 361 of the Criminal Code (unauthorized interference in work of electronic computing systems, automated systems, computing networks or telecommunications networks), related to the shutdown of all integrated and state-operated registers of the Ukrainian Justice Ministry's information network.

Being Justice Minister, Lukash in October 2013 ordered the acting Director General of state-run enterprise "Information Center" subordinate to the Justice Ministry to introduce illegal changes to the software supporting the work of the integrated state-operated registers. As a result of this, the systems failed to work properly, causing unauthorized blocking of information and distortion of data processing.

Lukash’s husband was a former head of foreign intelligence in Ukraine.
