Interior Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko does not rule out that the protocol on corruption, drawn up against Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetskiy, will be re-qualified into a criminal case.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, the Minister claimed this answering questions of journalists in Symferopol on Friday.

“Most probably, the protocol will be re-qualified into materials for bringing a criminal case, because we have discovered new evidence. Instead of an insignificant damage, there will be enough evidence to bring a criminal case”, the Minister stressed.

Time will show how it will act in this case, but there are already materials for bringing the criminal case”.

According to the Minister, the police have discovered that L.Chernovetskiy illegally paid bonuses to officials at total of around 100 thousand hryvnias [$20 thousand].
