PM doesn’t rule out initiating of a special session of parliament

Prime Minister of Ukraine doesn’t rule out initiating of a special session of the Parliament aiming adoption of changes and amendments to the State Budget for the current year. She announced during a selector meeting with governors, according to the government’s press-office.

Yulia Tymoshenko informed that the Government continues holding consultations with all the factions without exception targeting search of compromise and hopes such a compromise will be found and addenda to the budget will be voted within the nearest time. PM of Ukraine is assured the majority of people’s deputies realizing the importance of this issue may gather during the recess in order to vote for the changes in the State budget.

Furthermore, she expressed pity with regards to the part of democratic coalition, notably representatives of the Single Centre party, hasn’t given any vote for the budget amendments “and in the result the whole country has a headache today”.

Yulia Tymoshenko imparted that untimely adoption of budget changes can lead to the problems on grain market, as Agrarian Fund has received the planned 1 bn 200 MN UAH. Besides, according to her, in connection with non-adoption of changes to the budget the summer period won’t be used for the active construction of roads, while the pensioners will not get 13% of pension increase since July 1.

“We are not late yet and we will adopt changes to the budget as fast as we can find a compromise with other factions that will be ready today to support the democratic coalition,” Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized.
