Kharkiv City Council secretary Hennadiy Kernes claims he went on vacation to Moscow.
He said this on Wednesday, commenting on the statement of Interior Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko.
“I’m safe and sound. I’m on vacation”, H.Kernes said.
“I’m in a city where I was born, where my children and my family live”, he said.
In his turn, Kharkiv Mayor Mykhaylo Dobkin claimed that H.Kernes is undergoing a “medical treatment” in Moscow, Ukrayinska Pravda reports.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on July 15 Interior Minister Lutsenko claimed that, according to operative information, H.Kernes has already been staying in Moscow for a long time. The Minister did not rule out that it may be assessed as an escape. He said the Ukrainian police may turn to its Russian counterparts for help if Kharkiv City Council secretary Hennadiy Kernes does not return from Russia in the nearest future for bearing witness at the Interior Ministry. According to him, police has questions to H.Kernes about drug traffic in the city of Kharkiv.
