At the top of Hoverla mountain President Victor Yushchenko took part in opening of the monument “The Trident” and solemn flying of the Ukrainian flag, according to the President`s press-office.
In his word at the event President Yushchenko named Hoverla one of national symbols of Ukraine and praised the fact that today representatives from different regions came to the site. “We come to Hoverla to once again announce that we are united as a people and a nation. The people coming to Hoverla will never divide Ukraine into east and west, north or south. It is a major spiritual mission of today’s event, I think”, he added.
