Georgia's ex-defense and security official speaks of Ukraine's security threats and challenges
On the sidelines of Odesa Security Forum, Former Minister of Defense, Foreign Affairs and Former Chief of Intelligence of Georgia Gela Bezhuashvili joins Ukraine Today to talk on Georgian experience in dealing with Russian aggression.
“Ukrainian battle for freedom is not only Ukrainian case. It is as Georgian, as European and as global as it is. Ukraine should not be left alone. We all need to stand together. It is the only way to resist Russian attitude,” he said, according to Ukraine Today.
“There are two ways. One is internal strength of Ukraine. Without strengthening and improving institutions and governance, fighting corruption, Ukraine is not going to succeed. Secondly, when Ukraine does the job, the international community must support Ukraine unanimously, financially, logistically, militarily. The fate of the freedom is decided in Ukraine.”
