Yulia Tymoshenko, the Prime Minister of Ukraine and BYuT front-runner, and Victor Yanukovych, the Party of Regions chairman, are the most probable candidacies to enter the second round of the presidential election in Ukraine.

These are results of a poll of 25 leading Ukrainian political scientists and experts, carried out by Socioizmereniye Center for Political and Sociological Studies during July 28 – August 3. The results of the poll were publicized at a press conference in UNIAN by center director Serhiy Taran.

According to him, only a fifth of those polled believe that incumbent President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko has chance to penetrate into the second tour of the presidential election.
