Socialist Party of Ukraine leader Oleksander Moroz forecasts a snap parliamentary poll.

According to the SPU press-service, the party front-runner claimed this in an interview with Era radio on Friday.

According to O.Moroz, most probably, in the middle of autumn a vote of no confidence to the government of Yulia Tymoshenko will be adopted. It will trigger the process of early parliamentary election, which will take place in the end of winter – in February, or, probably, in March.

“Everybody knows that I have never supported the idea of a snap poll, and I believe that people must have an opportunity to “sober up” and assess the power they elected by its actions”, he said.

O.Moroz is confident that in case of a snap poll his party will enter the Verkhovna Rada, because a serious work on party reforming is under way, and new reputed people, especially at the regional level, come to join the party.

In the opinion of the Socialist leader, a snap poll could become a way to solve the current crisis situation. “There are grounds for that in the Constitution, and the President may use them”, he said.

“As of today, there is no coalition – it’s evident, as well as there is no communication between the parliamentary coalition and the Cabinet of Ministers”, the Socialist leader pointed out.
