Hrytsenko considers running for post of Ukrainian President

Anatoliy Hrytsenko, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada committee for National Security and Defense, does not rule out that he may propose his candidacy for the post of President of Ukraine at the election in 2010.

He claimed this to a chat conference with visitors of Glavred web-portal.

“The more I watch the destructive actions of current pretenders for the post of President, their absolute inadequacy to challenges and threats of Ukraine… the more probable is that I will have to take part in the Presidential election in 2010. But if I make this decision, it will base on an Olympic principle – the most important is not the victory but participation”, the lawmaker claimed.
