urgent adoption of the law on state purchases procedures as current “manual regulation” of the process by the Government becomes imperfect more and more;

adoption of the law on abolition of deputies’ privileges that had failed a number of times before.

According to President these goals will require the coalition to leave disputes aside and unite.

“The future of the coalition is for now in the hands of the coalition itself rather than in the hands of the Constitutional Court. Harmonious and effective voting will become the proof that the coalition exists”, - he said.

Separately President Yushchenko pointed to urgency of adopting alterations to 2008 Budget Law. Here he suggested steering up the process by finishing the work on the alterations to the budget in the corresponding Verkhovna Rada committee without waiting for the Government to prepare a new daft law.

Victor Yushchenko also reminded that the priorities he had set in his own draft law should be considered during preparations of the final document.
