Dismissal of Baloha may help restore democratic coalition – Lutsenko
Baloha instructed MPs to quit coalition?
Interior Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko claims that the dismissal of President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha may become a prerequisite of reuniting the democratic coalition.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Yu.Lutsenko said this to journalists in the Cabinet of Ministers today.
“The democratic coalition has a chance to continue its work. From a formal point of view, the coalition has 10 days, and during these 10 days leaders of the coalition – President Yushchenko and Prime Minister Tymoshenko should sit at a table of negotiations, without any emotions and personal offences, and find ways for a further functioning of the democratic coalition. I think that the main prerequisite of these negotiations must be the dismissal of Baloha, who did everything from the very beginning to split the democratic coalition”, said Yu.Lutsenko.
According to his words, at the yesterday’s session of the OU-PSD faction, V.Baloha gave instructions by telephone to faction leader Vyacheslav Kyrylenko to collect votes of faction MPs for the split of the democratic coalition.
