He will demand the Government to clarify its positions

President Victor Yushchenko gave an interview to Ukrainian leading regional publications, according to the President`s press-office.

Answering a question about internal political situation in Ukraine, particularly that in the Parliament, Victor Yushchenko said that the newly de-facto formed coalition has no other aims but to conduct coup d`état and usurp power in the country.

According to President`s opinion there were more important issues for Ukrainian people for parliamentarians to focus upon on the day of the new parliamentary session opening. Instead they have been discussing and adopting draft laws modifying President`s credentials.

When asked about the future of the new alliance between BYuT, Party of Regions and communists, President stressed that if BYuT members decided that these were the best partners for them, it’s their choice. “It is hard for me to make comments on the alliance between national bourgeoisie and social populists. I can’t even imagine what this marriage may result in”, - said Victor Yushchenko.

Making comments on the possibility of the Democratic Coalition restoration President emphasized that there is only one way in which that can happen -  reversing all the unconstitutional laws that have been voted for on September 2. He also repeated that he would never sign these laws because “they are non-Ukrainian”.

Separately President Yushchenko reminded that today the society expects the Parliament to publicize its position on the conflict in Georgia. “Silence only due to obligations before outside parties is the road to nowhere. I will demand the Government to stop being mute and to clarify its positions”, - he said, adding that it also applies to position on Russian Black Sea Fleet deployed in Sevastopol.
