Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and head of the eponymous faction Volodymyr Lytvyn agreed to set up a new coalition of BYuT, Lytvyn’s Bloc, and Our Ukraine –People’s Self-Defense factions.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, representatives of the Ukrainian patriotic intelligentsia, Volodymyr Yavorivskiy, Levko Lukyanenko, and Bohdan Horyn, claimed this to a press conference in UNIAN on Monday.
In their address to the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister, and representatives of the Ukrainian political elite, the public figures stressed the necessity to create a single, state, pro-Ukrainian coalition in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“The only possible format of this political union is a coalition including the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko, Lytvyn’s Bloc, and Our Ukraine –People’s Self-Defense factions”, V.Yavorivskiy stressed.
He disclosed that Yulia Tymoshenko and Volodymyr Lytvyn agreed to enter the new coalition. So far, according to V.Yavorivskiy, they are waiting for the answer of OU-PSD.
“I call on President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to take under his “political patronage” the issue of OU-PSD’s joining the new coalition. It is a historical chance for Ukraine to solve the political crisis, because these political forces have no ideological differences”, V.Yavorivskiy said.
