Yatsenyuk to remain Speaker of Verknovna Rada – Yefremov

Upon announcing the death of the democratic coalition, Arseniy Yatsenyuk will remain the Speaker of the Verknovna Rada until a new coalition is formed.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, chairman of the parliament`s Regulations Committee Oleksandr Yefremov said this in an interview with journalists Monday.

He noted that though the coalition agreement between the BYuT and the OU – PSD reads that the Speaker of the Verknovna Rada resigns after the coalition terminates its activities, this agreement is not any legal document.

O.Yefremov emphasized that, in accordance with the legislation, the Speaker of the Verknovna Rada keeps his post until a new coalition is formed.
