Government’s activities impossible without coalition – Yatsenyuk
No coalition – no government
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk claims that the government’s activities are impossible without a coalition in parliament.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this at a plenary session of parliament today.
According to A.Yatsenyuk, a coalition is an obligatory condition stipulated by the Constitution of Ukraine.
If a new coalition is not formed in parliament, after the collapse of the previous one, the President of Ukraine has a right to dissolve the Verkhovna Rada ahead of schedule.
“A coalition is an instrument for the government to bear responsibility, because the government is formed by this coalition. If there is no coalition – there is no government”, said A.Yatsenyuk.
