The Verkhovna Rada has backed a President’s proposal and cancelled the amendments to the law on Constitutional Court.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 226 MPs out of 448 presented in the chamber of parliament voted for this.

In particular, all members of the BYuT (156 votes) and OU-PSD factions (70 votes) voted for this.

As UNIAN reported earlier, amendments to the law on Constitutional Court were adopted by parliament on September 2. In particular, the amendments forbade the President to repeatedly suspend government’s decrees on which  a Constitutional Court issued its ruling.
