EU Commissioner Hahn: Visa-free travel for Ukraine at final decision stage
EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn has assured Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy that EU visa-free travel for Ukraine is at the stage of final decision.
"European Commissioner Hahn has assured that the issue of granting Ukraine visa-free regime is at the stage of final decision," Parubiy wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
Hahn also pledged his active support for EU visa-free travel for Ukraine.
"Visa-free regime is a symbolic issue of when all the citizens of Ukraine are able to feel as free citizens of the free world," Parubiy added.

This proposal was the result of the positive assessment by the European Commission in December 2015, confirming, among other things, that Ukraine successfully fulfilled all the provisions of its Visa Liberalization Plan.
Participants in a meeting of the European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs on September 5 did not voice any objections to the report on granting Ukraine visa-free regime.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on September 13 that he hoped Ukraine would be allowed EU visa-free travel in October.
