The Ukrainian Security Service and the Prosecutor’s General Office consider opportunity of bringing criminal cases against officials of the Central Electoral Commission of Ukraine.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, deputy President’s Chief of Staff Maryna Stavniychuk has disclosed this to journalists today.

M.Stavniychuk disclosed that the matter concerns officials responsible for compiling the state register of electors [as it is know, CEC member Jeanna Usenko-Chorna is responsible for that - UNIAN].

M.Stavniychuk noted that today the Prosecutor’s General Office and the Counting Chamber finished an inspection of the Central Electoral Commission’s activities in the use of financing allocated for creation of the state register.

The deputy Chief of Staff confirmed that numerous violations were discovered in the course of the inspection.
