Yatseniuk opens parliament session
He informed that the President`s decree joined into force
“Prezydentskiy Visnyk” newspaper published today the decree of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko on the delay of legislative elections by a week to December 14.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk claimed this opening the session of parliament on Tuesday.
According to him, in such a way, the President’s decree joined into force.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Monday President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko signed a decree to delay legislative elections by a week to December 14, recalling parliament to enact emergency measures to fight the global financial crisis. "I am today signing a decree calling back parliament for several days," he told Ukrainian television, so that lawmakers can vote on "amendments to the budget and several dozen measures to combat the crisis.
