Party of Regions leader Victor Yanukovych would slightly win over Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko at a presidential election if it took place next Sunday.
These are the results of the poll carried out by Razumkov Center and publicized in UNIAN Tuesday.
In particular, some 22.8% of those polled would vote for Victor Yanukovych, and some 20.5% - for Yulia Tymoshenko.
At the same time, some 5.1% would vote for Communist leader. Incumbent President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko is supported by some 4.9% of those polled. Some 4.6% would vote by Volodymyr Lytvyn, leader of the eponymous bloc. The same number of respondents would vote for Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk.
Some 8.7% of those polled would vote against all, and some 10% will not take part in the election.
At the same time, some 31.2% of Ukrainians believe there is a politician in Ukraine who could become a very good state leader, and they will vote for him at the regular presidential election. Some 35.4% agreed that there are not bad politicians in Ukraine who could head the state, but if there appears somebody better, they will vote for him/her. Some 24.1% of respondents do not see good future leaders among Ukrainian politicians.
The poll was carried out on October 7-19. 10865 respondents in all regions of Ukraine were polled. The error margin does not exceed 1%.
