President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko vows to announce the snap poll date as soon as the Verkhovna Rada passes bill allocating financing for it.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, the President claimed this to a press conference in Donetsk Wednesday.
“Today it is up to parliament to solve the issue of financing the election. It will form an answer for fixing the date of the snap poll. In other words: firstly, financing, introducing amendments [into the electoral legislation - UNIAN], and secondly, the President’s decree on the snap poll with a concrete date”, Victor Yushchenko said.
He expressed a hope that today the parliament will adopt the draft law on financing the snap poll.
Victor Yushchenko stressed that only an efficiently working parliament may secure the political stability in the country.
