Party of Regions cancels convention where it was to form electoral list

The Party of Regions will not hold any convention on October 31.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, MP Anna Herman (Party of Regions faction) said this to journalists in parliament on Thursday.

“We will not hold this convention because the date of the snap poll has not been fixed as yet, and it’s unclear whether the snap poll will take place at all”, A.Herman said.

The MP pointed out that considering the current situation, it would be unreasonable to hold the convention.

As UNIAN reported earlier, after President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko issued a decree on snap poll, the Party of Regions announced about its intent to hold a party convention on October 31 to form the electoral list.
