PM voices her stance

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko is confident that Arseniy Yatseniuk could not be dismissed from Speaker’s post without an instruction of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, the Prime Minister claimed this to journalists in the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday.

“The dismissal of Arseniy Yatseniuk indicates the desire to hammer the last nail into the democratic team, which is working in parliament today, to finally destroy the hope for resuming the democratic coalition. It is an attempt to wipe out everything that people voted for in 2004”, Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized.

According to her, it’s evident that Arseniy Yatseniuk was dismissed due to the votes from a part of OU-PSD faction. “It’s absolutely evident for all politicians that such a dismissal of the Verkhovna Rada Speaker could not happen without a direct instruction of the President. We should not look for artificial guilty. The President is directly responsible for Arseniy Yatseniuk’s dismissal”, the Prime Minister stressed.

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, in such a way, the President tries to pave the way to a snap parliamentary poll.
