Lytvyn’s candidacy proposed for Speaker

MP Volodymyr Lytvyn has been proposed for the post of parliament’s Speaker. The respective draft decree was registered in parliament on Thursday.

The author of the document is MP Oleksander Omelchenko (Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense).

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ousted Arseniy Yatseniuk as Speaker on Nov 12. According to an UNIAN correspondent, 233 MPs out of 350 registered in the session hall voted for this.
