Our Ukraine did not receive from the Party of Regions any draft coalition agreements.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Our Ukraine party’s council chief Roman Bessmertny claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv today.

“We did not receive any official documents, though we could get acquainted with their principal aims. Several provisions of the Party of Regions’ program are unacceptable for us”, he stressed.

According to him, transiting to a federal system of the country, giving a second state status to the Russian language, changing the priorities of the foreign policy, which is proposed by the Party of Regions, indicates abdicating from the priorities of the European integration.

R.Bessmertny stressed that the session of Our Ukraine political council on 5 April did not discuss the opportunity of forming a coalition with the Party of Regions at all.

At the same time, it was hard for R.Bessmertny to determine the role of the Party of Regions in the future of Ukraine. “The Party of Regions must itself determine its position – whether it will be oppositional or will have another status. For us, it is important to begin talks for creating an orange coalition”, said he.
