EU Ambassadors confirm EU Council, EP agree on visa suspension mechanism
EU Ambassadors have confirmed the agreement between the EU Council and the European Parliament (EP) about the "visa waiver suspension mechanism" between the EU and third countries.
This particular solution was a condition for a positive decision on granting Ukraine and Georgia a visa-free regime.
The EU Council told an UNIAN correspondent in Brussels that the decision was taken following a meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of EU member states (COREPER) in Brussels on Wednesday, December 7.
