Coalition to be formed, Yanukovych hopes
The Party of Regions leader calls on to overcome ambitions
Party of Regions faction leader Victor Yanukovych hopes that ambitions will be overcome, and a coalition will be formed in parliament.
He said this in an interview with Inter television on Sunday.
According to him, as of today, the working groups that negotiated on Friday and Saturday did not make any decisions. “Today it’s very hard to say whether a coalition or a majority will be formed”, Victor Yanukovych noted.
He added: “Today we’re not interested, so-to-say, in positions, we are interested whether we will succeed to consolidate politicians around these very serious challenges”.
Victor Yanukovych stressed: “We hope that some politicians and political forces will have enough force to overcome their ambitions, and to come to a consolidated decision”.
According to him, at present it is necessary to refuse those political discrepancies, which split political forces, in particular, concerning Ukraine’s joining NATO and the language issues”.
