Newly elected Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn vows to organize an efficient work of parliament.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this after he was elected on the post of the Verkhovna Rada Speaker on Tuesday.

V.Lytvyn thanked MPs who supported his candidacy, and also “colleagues who did not vote”. “I understand everything”, he said.

“I see my task in organizing the work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine collective, so that we have a coordinated work, and, the most important, an efficient one”, V.Lytvyn pointed out.
