Changes in government to take place in the coming days – Tymoshenko

"There is a hope that the country will work..."

The government members may be replaced in the coming days after a new parliamentary coalition was formed in the Verkhovna Rada, besides, a new governmental program of actions may be adopted.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko claimed this opening the government’s session on Wednesday.

She stressed that the three factions that created the coalition on Tuesday agreed to set up a special anti-crisis team, which will include specialists from all factions without any exceptions, because, as she put it, “the mater concerns uniting the whole parliament”. The anti-crisis team will complete the development of an anti-crisis program within frames of the government activities program.

“I believe today it is a moment when a governmental program of actions, consolidated with the Verkhovna Rada, will be passed to overcome the world financial crisis consequences for Ukraine. I think that the government will consolidate with the parliamentary team of specialists, and I believe in the coming days we will strengthen the government with new members who will come to work… And I think in the nearest future we will be able to appoint a full-fledged leadership of the State Property Fund and the Anti-Monopoly Committee… There is a hope that the country will work”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 9, MPs elected V.Lytvyn as the Verkhovna Rada Speaker. After he was elected, V.Lytvyn announced about creating a coalition of the factions of Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense, the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko, and the Lytvyn’s Bloc.
