Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn has commissioned employees of the Verkhovna Rada machinery to publicize documents on creating the new coalition at the official web site of parliament.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn claimed this at a session of the parliament’s Conciliatory Council on Monday.

V.Lytvyn promised to do that in response to request of MP Roman Zvarych (Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense faction) to publicize the document, basing on which the Speaker had stated that the three factions – BYuT, OU-PSD, and the Lytvyn’s Bloc – formed the coalition, because he personally had doubts about that fact.

“The coalition was declared”, V.Lytvyn said, adding that for a normal operation of parliament the fact whether a coalition was formed is not important. “It’s not that important whether there is a coalition”, V.Lytvyn said.

The Verkhovna Rada Speaker emphasized that the parliament began to work, and all political forces should unite around this idea.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 9, V.Lytvyn was elected as the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Speaker. As soon as he was elected, V.Lytvyn announced that a coalition of the three factions was formed in parliament.
