The bill endorses participation of foreign troops in multinational exercises on training of forces, the Ukrainian-U.S. Sea Breeze 2017, and Ukrainian-U.S. Rapid Trident -2017 drills.

The legislation allows deployment in Ukraine of U.S. and other NATO allies’ forces as well as the troops of Partnership for Peace participant states (up to 3,000 armed troops along with military hardware, up to six warplanes and helicopters) for up to 365 days in January-December 2017 in the framework of multinational exercises on preparation of the armed forces; U.S. and other NATO allies’ forces as well as the troops of Partnership for Peace participant states (2,500 armed troops along with military hardware, up to 10 battle ships, five submarines, and 10 warplanes and helicopters, as well as 60 units of wheeled equipment) for up to 25 days in July-September 2017 in the framework of Ukrainian-U.S. Sea Breeze 2017 exercise.
