Kyiv Mayor had a brain wave: subway tariffs to slow down

Kyiv residents’ expectations for a fall in public conveyances tariffs may come true.

On January 12, Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetskiy said that an interesting thought occurred to him during the new year holidays. In particular, he had an idea to reduce subway tariffs by 30 kopeks (to 1.70 hryvnias from current 2 hryvnias), and by 50 kopeks in trolley-buses (to 1.50 hryvnias from current 2 hryvnias).

The Mayor vows to adopt this decision at the nearest session of the Kyiv Council.
