Consideration at COREPER will be the first stage of a visa liberalization approval at the level of Member States, according to the Ukrainian news portal Europeiska Pravda.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on February 28, interinstitutional talks between the Council of the European Union, the European Commission and the European Parliament on EU visa liberalization for Ukraine ended successfully.

"Visa trialogue for Ukraine has ended successfully. Eu ambassadors will approve on 2 march (second round of approval likely in may)," RFE/RL correspondent in Brussels Rikard Jozwiak wrote on Twitter on February 28.

It is expected that the visa-free regime for Ukraine could actually enter into force in early June.
