Yushchenko says he is not responsible for economical situation in Ukraine
And calls on not to shift responsibility
President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko calls on not to shift responsibility for the economical situation in the country to the President.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, President’s Press Secretary Iryna Vannikova said this to journalists on Wednesday, voicing the position of the President concerning inviting Victor Yushchenko to attend a Verkhovna Rada session.
According to her, Victor Yushchenko stressed that, in line with constitutional amendments of the year 2005, namely the government and the parliament are responsible for carrying out the economic policy in the country.
“He [the President] calls on colleagues not to shift responsibility for their policy to other power branches, and, consequently, in answer to two invitations to take part in Verkhovna Rada sessions, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko insists on his decision to deliver in the session hall his annual address of President about the internal and foreign state of the country”, I.Vannikova stressed.
