The small groups of Somali pirates are leaving Faina, Ukrainian ship now. Maritime Bulletin-Sovfracht site reports with reference to shipowner`s information.
In particular, the pirates leave the ship with small amount of money. One group does not go down until another one reports that they have arrived at the shore front. Nobody has attacked them and there is no threat.
In their turn, Ukrainian sailors are going to get under way, UNIAN reports.
Somali pirates received US $3,2 mn of ransom for Ukrainian dry-cargo vessel Faina with tanks and arms on the board. The pirates took hostages on the ship on September, 25 last year near the shores of Somali. 17 citizens of Ukraine are among the crew.
