President Victor Yushchenko hopes that today’s Verkhovna Rada plenary meeting dedicated to functioning of the Government will be professional and objective, President`s Press Secretary Iryna Vannykova informed today, according to the President`s press-office.
President Yushchenko stressed that there are numerous serious questions about many steps in economic, budgetary, fiscal policy the Government must answer. At the same time discussion of these issues according to the President should not turn into a trivial quarrel or search for increase of one’s political ratings on the background of the crisis.
“Our main objective is to change the direction of situation development, leave populism behind and begin realization of all the necessary reforms, no matter how unpopular they could be”, - said Victor Yushchenko.
